The agreement for your Compiling account, records, connected services and free beta.

Compiling helps you organize orders and business records. You stay in control of optional connections and remain responsible for reviewing imported information and calculated results.

01Using Compiling

These terms govern the Compiling website, account and workspace. Use an email address you control and have the authority and legal capacity to agree to these terms. If you act for a business, you must have its permission. Keep your credentials secure and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Do not share access to another person’s account.

02Free beta and account access

Create an account, verify your email and complete workspace setup. Eligible new accounts receive beta access automatically; service limits, account restrictions and security checks can still apply. Your account page shows the access status and any expiry. The beta does not require a payment card or automatically become a paid subscription. Future paid plans require separate pricing and agreement.

Features, supported stores, provider availability and capacity may change. We may restrict access to address abuse, security incidents or a breach of these terms. Where practical, we will provide notice before ending ordinary access so you can export records.

03Your records and responsibilities

You retain rights in information and files you provide. You authorize Compiling to process, store, display and transmit them as necessary to provide the features you choose and operate the service, subject to the Privacy policy. Have the rights and permissions needed for information about other people, including shipping recipients and customers.

Review imported emails, product matches, addresses, status changes, amounts, currencies and generated documents before relying on them. Your manual edits can override parsed values and affect calculations. Keep independent copies of records needed for your business or legal obligations. A storage assignment or generated tax split does not prove what a merchant charged.

04Calculated results, not professional advice

Tax breakdowns, suggested credits, refund or balance estimates, accounting summaries and AI answers are calculated results based on the available records and your settings. They are not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and do not guarantee eligibility, a refund, a filing outcome or acceptance by an authority. Compiling does not file a return or act as your accountant through these features. Verify receipts, registrations, periods, business use and adjustments; obtain qualified advice when needed.

Shipping maps and delivery estimates depend on provider data and may be incomplete, delayed or approximate. They are not live GPS positions or delivery guarantees. Check the carrier for an urgent shipment issue.

05Email, AI and shared parsers

Connecting email and using AI features are optional. Authorize only inboxes you may access. Google controls its authorization screen, account restrictions, limits and verification process; a Compiling account does not guarantee Gmail access. Provider warnings or pending review are not approval by Google. Read-only email permission still permits reading and storing imported contents.

Creating or repairing a parser can share the selected examples and instructions with the configured AI provider and Compiling after the separate in-product agreement. Generated extraction rules may be published for other customers to use. Private example messages are not published with them. Do not submit examples you lack permission to share. AI and parser output can be wrong and must be reviewed.

06Optional notifications

You choose whether to enable Discord notifications, where to send them and which events to receive. By enabling them, you authorize Compiling to send the relevant order or shipment details to that destination as described in the Privacy policy. You must control the destination or have permission to post there and share the included information. Other channel members may see it.

Notifications can be delayed, retried, duplicated or missed because of provider or network conditions. Do not rely on an alert as the sole record of an order or shipment. You can disable events or remove the webhook in Settings → Notifications. Already delivered messages remain with the recipient service. Account and security messages are separate, and enabling shipment notifications is not marketing consent.

07Third-party services

Email, AI, notification, map and tracking providers have their own terms, privacy practices and service limits. Your use of their services remains subject to those requirements. Compiling does not control a provider’s availability or decisions. Any provider fees or future Compiling charges must be disclosed separately; a free beta account does not authorize automatic billing.

08Acceptable use and service limits

Do not access another person’s records without permission, bypass account or provider limits, interfere with the service, upload malicious code, misuse shared parser rules, send unauthorized communications or use the service unlawfully. Compiling grants you permission to use its interface and features for their intended purpose while your access is active; this does not transfer ownership of the software or other users’ content.

The service is under active development. Imports, calculations and integrations may fail, and maintenance may interrupt access. We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free output or a particular support response time. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

09Ending access

You may stop using Compiling at any time. Export needed records, disconnect optional integrations and contact us for account deletion or help ending access. Removing a business, ending a licence and deleting account data are separate actions. Retention, backups and external copies are explained in Account and data deletion and the Privacy policy.

10Changes and contact

The version and date above identify these terms. We will notify affected users of material changes and request agreement where required. A future feature that needs a different use of personal information requires an updated disclosure and consent where applicable; these terms are not unrestricted permission for future data use.

The laws applicable in Québec, Canada govern these terms without taking away mandatory protections where you live. For questions or a dispute, contact contact@compiling.app so we can try to resolve the issue.
